Highway Division
The Highway division maintains the physical safety and appearance of all public ways.
Maintenance on all Public Works vehicles and equipment, as well as vehicles of ten other
departments. The subprogram consists of five elements:
- Roadway Maintenance
- Cleaning
- Snow Removal
- Traffic Control/Street Lighting
- Motor Equipment Maintenance
Sanitation Division
The Sanitation Division provides for solid waste collection and disposal of all household
rubbish. The collection and disposal of this material impacts the health and welfare of
the entire community. The effectiveness of this operation depends greatly on the
cooperation of residents in complying with the established rules and regulations.
Collection and disposal of leaves and sweeper debris from public ways for disposal are
also accomplished by this Division.
