| Weights and Measures Director of Weights and Measures 617-730-2294 Description- Also known as the consumer affairs division, the Sealer of Weights and Measures ensures the integrity of marketplace purchases of goods and commodities. All measuring and weighing devices in town are tested and sealed for accuracy as mandated by state law. This includes all gasoline meters, taxi meters, scales, and pharmacy scales. With the passage of new legislation all scanners used for purchasing will be tested and sealed as well.
