Town of
Brookline Recruitment Practices
The Town
of Brookline utilizes employees in many different occupations.
Most of these positions are listed in the
Classification and Salary Grade Plans.
Vacant positions are filled either through the Massachusetts
Civil Service system or by direct recruitment and
advertising. All positions that are not filled through the
Massachusetts Civil Service system or by promotion are
advertised on this website, the Brookline TAB, various
publications with recognized circulation in minority
communities, and other publications as appropriate for the
