1st Light - Held in November

A community event celebrating arts and shopping. Each November, the 1st Light Festival launches the holiday season with a town-wide festival featuring free entertainment at more than 60 business locations. The goals of the 1st Light Festival are to entice shoppers to satisfy their shopping needs locally as well as to showcase the diverse talents of individuals and groups of all ages. Proceeds from the 1st Light Festival benefit arts programs in Brookline.

 

Flag Day Parade and Carnival - Held in June
This years Flag Day to be held Sunday, June 17th, 2001.  

A day long event saluting veterans and featuring a parade, road races and a family carnival. It truly is old fashioned fun for all ages.

Israel Independence Day - Held in May

Brookline's large Jewish Community celebrates the Independence of Israel with a street fair complete with a petting zoo and free entertainment.
