Jean Stringham has lived in Brookline since 1973 and enjoys photographing the
landscapes, people and local sights in our town. Her photography can be seen
on the Brookline website, and in various newsletters, especially those of the
Brookline GreenSpace Alliance and the Brookline Chamber of Commerce.
In 2000, she was awarded a grant from the Brookline Council for the Arts and
Humanities for a photo journalist project on the beech trees on Longwood
Mall. She exhibited her work in the Visions of Green Community exhibits for
five years, twice in the Brookline Artists Open Studios, and several times at
the Brookline Main Library. Since 2001, she has been the curator of the art
exhibits at the Brookline Senior Center.
Jean Stringham is active in our community, as a member of Town Meeting and
past member of the Advisory Committee. She is on the Board of the Brookline
GreenSpace Alliance and is President of the Corey Hill Neighborhood
Association. She is Co-Chair of the Brookline Neighborhood Alliance,
