Moving Signs
|
Residents moving in and out of Brookline can obtain and
post signs to reserve space in front of their residence for the moving truck. Here's
how it works: |
|
|
How to Get a Moving Sign:
- Determine how long your moving truck is, and see the table below to determine how many signs will be needed.
- Check if your moving truck will need to occupy a parking
space that has a meter. If so, each meter blocked will cost $7.50 per day.
- Transportation Staff will fill the signs out for you. Come
to the Transportation/Engineering office, which is located on the 870 Hammond
Street. The Transportation Division is open Monday through Thursday from 8 AM - 5
PM, and Friday 8 AM - 12:30 PM.
- The sign's must be posted after 6:00pm the evening before
the scheduled event and removed upon completion.
- The signs are official Tow Zones and the Police will tow as
long as the signs are still posted. Cars cannot be towed if the signs have been
removed. Call the Police Dept. at 617-730-2230 for towing.
