TOGETHER WE PREPARE
Disasters can happen at anytime and in any place, which is why the Town of Brookline has teamed up with the American Red Cross to ensure that the Town is prepared in the event of an emergency. Should a disaster occur, local officials and
CERT Team Members will be on the scene to assist all citizens and to direct them to the appropriate areas for support.
The following locations have been approved by the American Red Cross for
use as emergency shelters in Brookline. The location of a shelter opened
would be determined based on several factors, such as the location of
the emergency, number of persons needing to be housed, the availability
of a backup generator, etc.:
- Brookline High School, 115 Greenough Street (Primary Shelter Site)
- Devotion School, 321 Harvard Street
- Pierce School, 50 School Street
- Lawrence School, 27 Francis Street
- Brookline Senior Center, 93 Winchester Street
- Baker School, 205 Beverly Road
