| Community Health Services Lynne Karsten, Director of Community Health 617-730-2336, Description- The Community Health Division provides a range of educational, clinical, and screening services addressing a broad range of health conditions and concerns. The focus of these activities is early detection of disease conditions, the elimination or control of risk factors for adverse health conditions, and the application of available preventive measures such as immunization, appropriate screening, and blood pressure monitoring. Activities and Objectives - 1. Supports programs related to men and women's health including breast health, prostate health, and influenza and pneumonia immunization programs. 2. Completed a formal community health assessment of Brookline, including health status indicators and demographics, collectively known as Healthy Brookline Volumes 2 and 3. 3. Organized a Community Balance Training Program for Seniors. Program to continue under the name "A Matter of Balance". Upcoming and Regularly Scheduled events- Annual Flu Clinics - Conducted at various locations around Brookline, usually in November. Pediatric Dental Clinic - Every Wednesday, 2:30 - 5:30 pm at the Health Department for children up to 18 years of age.
