Professional Staff
The Park and Recreation Commission consists of residents appointed by the Brookline Board of Selectmen. The Commission is a policy-making board responsible to the Town for providing year-round high quality indoor and outdoor recreation activities for children and adults. The goals of the Commission are to deliver programs that are cultural, social, mental, healthy and physically based which are presented at well maintained parks and facilities. We are concerned with meeting appropriate community based needs that are cost efficient and within the reach of the overall community resource base while providing the highest level of participant satisfaction. Safety and quality are paramount. All individuals with special conditions are entitled to full participation in any Brookline Recreation Program. The Park and Recreation Commission meets each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Brookline Police and Fire Headquarters, 350 Washington Street, Brookline, MA. The first item on the agenda of each meeting is reserved for “Public Comment”. If you wish to place an item on the Park and Recreation Commission agenda please call 617-730-2069, one week in advance of the meeting date. Commission meeting dates are listed below.
